Ezine Drama
Well, As many of you know, ezine is facing some major drama regarding the ranking of their own articles for major keywords:
EzineArticles.com Slapped Hard By The New Google Farmer Algorithm Update.
They even thought about making the resource box nofollow (which they won't):
Search Engine Algorithm Changes
But they have made it impossible to get orders done, since they are not letting multiple articles be submitted on the same subject, with the same links, at the same time. For now, ezine doesn't look like a viable option any longer, as they are upset that they lost almost 50% of their traffic to ranked articles.
But, the thing about our package, is that we didn't use ezine for it's article ranking, we used it for their backlink authority. Since there are many sites that now have seemed to move up the ladder due to ezine dropping down the ladder, from this point forward, as well as pending orders, we are giving you the option on how you want that part of the package to be completed.
1. Submit articles to goarticles.com instead of ezine. We already have a bunch of clients who rather submit here anyways, since the click-through rate seems to be higher, and they allow 3 links instead of 2. They also wasn't hit almost at all with the new google algorithm.
2. Submit your articles over x amount of sites (whatever it may be, 5, 10, 20, 30, or 50). This will give you link diversity, and would also give you 3 links instead of the 2 links from ezine.
This is only for the ezine portion of the package. This does not harm any other part of the package.
We will be emailing each client to give them a choice of how they want their ezine portion handled. Based on my experience, neither 1 or 2 will harm your rankings. We've actually been testing choice #2 for a new package, and have had great success.
We will add the new choice to the form later this evening for new orders. We're experiencing a delay of pending orders (mainly because we have to give them a choice),
but this will not affect new orders coming through.
Guess we have to roll with the punches. Ezine just lost a ton of writers though, and we're gonna be on that boat.
