There really isn't much difference between Christianity and Islam
lolol c'mon Turbo.
Have you ever heard of the word 'reform'?
Christianity has clearly reformed itself since the times of The Crusades. When was the last time Christian terrorism was a major problem in the world? When was the last time Islamic terrorism was a major problem in the world?
Christianity was reformed in part because of the basic teachings of The Bible - to love. Islam shares some of the same sentiments, with the extra "wage jihad on all nonbelievers" here and there. That's the critical difference and is why Islam STILL is a major problem in the world.

As per this stupid religious debate...well it's stupid. The atheists here as usual seem like bitter people and argue "no scientific proof", and the religious "zealots" here argue in a hypocritical tone (calling an atheist a fucker for making their point is NOT the Christian/Muslim/whatever thing to do) with conclusions that have more holes than Swiss cheese.
Religion (as an idea of a God) is something that can neither be proved or disproved. As far as our current knowledge in the universe and science is, religion is not logical. But it was also not logical 500 years ago that man would ever take flight off the ground, let alone go to the moon (and soon beyond).
Organized religion is a result of man, and demonstrates the weakness and corruption in humanity. They blot out the underlying message (to be a good person) with threats of eternity in Hell or reincarnation as a rat. They preach to kill those who don't believe. They use fear and ultimatums to ensure that their followers are loyal. Even if a God DID communicate with earlier civilizations, it would have been so washed up by man that by the time it got to where we are now...well you can clearly see what's happened. Nobody that is a true believer in religious messages and teachings of God would kill in the name of that religion...EVER.
I guess I could consider myself more of an agnostic now, but I'll continue to pray to the same God I've been praying to my entire life. And I hope it continues to get me through tough situations, and hope it builds me into a better person over time.
But to poke fun and say things like Spaghetti Monster or Purple Unicorn is insulting. I certainly believe there is something out there that could turn itself into a spaghetti monster and fuck ya'll up, but if you designed the Universe and millions of planets with life (which is another question mark) and saw what came of humanity when you give people free will, I'd just think "meh, humans" and not even bother. If there was something more intelligent than us out there, why the hell would they waste their time proving themselves to us? We're a sad race.
Damn I should have gone to bed 20 minutes ago.
