soo i have like a 80% ctr for this Zip submit....but dick all to show for it...when does the lead actually qualify - when surfer fills in zip code, or the pages after it?

I'm guessing the pages after since it ain't so hard to put in your zip code.

Guessing it depends on the offer... AIM your AM and ask for specifics... thats why i love azoogle, maxbounty and copeac because they are all usually readily available to ask questions... oh and hydra too

i've tried zip submits and have very little luck as well... then again i kinda half assed it for 1 day and gave up lol

wtf is the point in a zip submit from the advertisers perspective?

The only thing I have ever come up with as an explanation is that the person thinks by entering their zip and the next page comes up that they are "qualified" b/c of the zip or the offer is available in their city and they hope they will finish the survey or whatever crap it is. I love zip submits actually but I don't know how good of quality they really are. They must be doing something right b/c there are a million of these around.

the make money off of incentive offers and if you don't participate after signing up they use your info, data mining...emails, most I've seen have opt-in deals the give them permission to have "partners" email you offers.

Pretty much a win/win for them, if the user does participate they make cash and if they don't chances are you opted in on their mailing list for their "partners" and you will receive spam.

Zip submits can work, I run a few of them through PPC even and my ROI is like 250% - 300%

As far as the "point" of zip submits...

Just a cheap lead in to asking you for your personal information including email, which they use to spam the shit out of you...

Assume your going to get afree gift card or ipod or something, you enter your zip code, its not a personal piece of information (Not as personal as your email at least) - You get to the next page it says "Great, you qualify, fill out your shipping information and well send it over" - You being the naive dumbass you are fills your info out - They have your info now... The next page says "Oh before we send it you have to complete some offers (That cost money)" - The surfer goes "Fuck this, im not gonna do that and simple closes the window" They have all of your personal information and email address... And if you do decide to buy there shit then thats more cash in there pocket..They can sell that info...

Thats how I see it at least...

Bang on LazyD.

But the important part, as someone promoting it, you don't care what happens after they submitted the zip code because that's when you get paid. It's a high volume business, but the clicks are usually dirt cheap, so get 10 of those puppies making $100 per day profit and you're laughing. I know some people making some serious coin every month on these suckers.

Get the right zip offer and you can make a killing, depending on timing. When dancing with the stars was on, I had a zip submit on the content network that was killing and I was only paying like 10 cents a click and they converted good. As a publisher, it all about giving them that reason to submit their zip. After that, we could give a shit what happens.

Exactly, I dont give a flying fuck what the person does after they submit their zip...

And your right, the majority of the time the clicks are dirt cheap... The problem im having right now is the volume, im converting well, but I cant scale the volume p to a point where im making a shit load of money, right now im only looking at $6 a day or so...

As for the point about timing, damn right... Before Transformers came out I was running a Transformers Tickets Zip Submit on Adwords and made some decent bank...

my problem is i'm getting the clicks on my landing page but after that they seem to be scared off from entering their actual zip code. Mother Frackers!

Page almost looks identical....

Well I'm a ppc man myself, so I'd look at overture, msn and some of the second tier ppc engines, (yes some still make money for you although most don't). Don't get stuck with an adwords only mentality, you're limiting yourself if you do.

Sorry I'm new... how does that work if you're not using the merchant's landing page? Does your landing page look like theirs and just post back to wherever their page did, and you just transfer it or do you recreate their entire process and just post the data to their forms behind the scenes or something?

Not asking for the secret recipe or anything, the statement: "page almost looks identical" confused me.

He means that he has a landing page which directs people to the merchant's page that asks for the zip code.

He's getting a good conversion rate in sending people from his site to the merchant's, but they just don't seem to be entering their zip at that point (i.e. he isn't getting paid!)

The "page almost looks.." bit is referring to how his and the merchant's pages look.

Guys what affiliate networks have the best zip offers? Azoogleads used to have a ton...

Feel free to post your affiliate links, I'll sign up under you if I don't have an account yet _AND_ you post more useful information for the thread.
