Back in the day when created your very first web sites, what did it look like? What was it about? WHat did you use to make it? Do you still have a copy of it anywhere as memorabilia?

My first site was on Blogger. In fact, it's still up:

http://www.redsbaseball.blogspot.com/

I moved to Movable Type soon after that, and now I blog for a network here on that topic:

www.redreporter.com

So you can kind of see the evolution a little.

My in between site was www.redsdaily.com, but I unfortunately let the domain lapse, which was really dumb of me! I'm still kicking myself, not because it was worth anything, but just because I'd like to still have my first ever domain.

Nice. Sports fan huh? What sport do the "reds" play?

Cool.

My very first site was a frames riddled mess of pages. It washosted on the free space my ISP gave me and I thought I was so cool because I could log into hotmail directly from my site.

I had a GIF image running down one side of the page and that alone was enough to impress people! I even had an image that rotated!!! How cool was I?!?!?!

The first website I ever made was about 10 years ago and was a bbs type site for my warez group (back when I was into that).
My first website was also a warez-related site.

Made it with Frontpage, it looked like crap but I still got a few visitors.
I took it down because the free host I was using ran out of money.

I didn't get back to web development until a few years later.
