let's not forget this screencap from the Skyfall trailer (which played b4 Dark Knight Rises in most theaters)
Probably just to fuck with us. Like how a serial killer leaves clues or riddles to fuck with the detective.
Because part of the conspirators' religion, as it were, is to foretell and foreshadow future events of their devise for millions of people to see. Hidden in plain sight.
Not saying there was or was not a conspiracy, just answering the question.
This aired several months before 9/11. It was reported that the Lone Gunman received several of their plots from intelligence networks.

Couldnt find a single trustworthy source, only conspiracy sites are replicating the news.
The Sandy Hook mention in Dark Knight is legit and verified, although unexplained and possibly a coincidence.
The LIBOR connection is one that is a bit "tenuous" to say the least. Both of their fathers are connected in some way to the scandal, but hundreds of people are. The claim that they were both meant to testify in the case and that this is somehow a message to them looks like fantasy land conspiracy shit. There is no reputable source that lists either one of them as being called to testify in the case, so although they are both somewhat connected to the case it seems like a coincidence.
Besides, the Obama justice department has already shown that they have no desire to bring criminal prosecutions for these banking scandals, so expect a settlement with a hefty fine. Settlement means there is no reason for anyone to testify. HSBC just settled for a $2 billion fine and no criminal charges even though they admitted to laundering drug money for the Colombian and Mexican drug cartels and financing terrorism around the world. No criminal charges for that, don't expect any for LIBOR.

There's a bad slasher movie called the "Sandy Hook Lingere Party Massacre" that has two known reviews - one in 2004 and another on july 20, 2012 - same day as the Aurora shootings. It also has one youtube posting prior to last week - on july 16, 2012.
