I've been using wordpress for quite some time, havent really tried using any other yet. Maybe this poll will convince me to use a diff one:p

I've yet to get into blogging yet... dont know to much about it.

Wow the pole is clearly putting WP on number 1, go wordpress.
I think it's a great tool as well, but it's not very scalable and flexible, if I would have big plans with a blog I would go with drupal anytime, if you want you can make drupal function and look just like wordpress. It just requires more thought and work.

Not scalable and flexibe? Wordpress has a huge community behind it as well as hundreds if not thousands of plugins. If you still can't find what you're looking for, Wordpress is easy to customize/program for.

Just compare the wordpress plugins with these and you'll know what I mean;
http://drupal.org/project/Modules

With wordpress, I had to make a plugin nearly from scratch to make a simple author profile page for forumtrends; http://www.forumtrends.com/author/Lee

I don't call that flexible.

WP, as I said with Firefox, and I quote, open source is the awesome-est. Write it down. Breathe it in. Live it. Open source is life.

Wordpress is excellent, but if you want a community driven site then Scoop is also good:

http://scoop.kuro5hin.org/

The problem with Scoop is that not many hosts support it. It's great though because it's kind of a blog/forum hybrid system.

definitely wordpress, easiest to mod, skin, and use.

Easy to plug and play, and easy to mod to your hearts desire. What more could one possibly want?

Just made my first wordpress site and although it's not 100% where I want it, it's not too hard to use
