Yahoo has been taking forever to approve any new ads lately. What is wrong with these idiots? You have to wait 5 days to get an ad approved lately after even the smallest change is made to it. It's becoming a joke so work with lately. Fucking yahoo idiots, no wonder their stock is tanking.
 


Yeah dude.. I HATE yahoo. The other day, I set up a voucher account to test an offer. I deposited an initial $30 to get $100 credit for my account. At this point I wasn't so clear on how their billing was, so I called them. I asked them if my card will ever get charged on the plan I'm on. She says "LET ME TAKE A LOOK OK? LOL.. LOOKS LIKE UR PREPAID..ONCE UR MONEY RUNS OUT UR ADS STOP OK LOL". Great. The next day my bank calls, saying that Yahoo! Search Marketing had charged me $30 20 fucking times. Fucking Yahoo!, pisses me off.

For now it is enjoying a spike from that news. We shall see how long that last.

I have been dealing with yahoo as a company in one business or another (unfortunately) for about 12 years now and they never cease to amaze me at how ass backward they do things. That's why Google came out of nowhere and OWNED them in such a short period of time.
 
I actually had a good (first) experience with YSM. I had them upload and setup a 90k keyword campaign for me. Was done, approved and running in about 12 hours and so far the ROI is pretty fucking good. And this is all in the last week.
 
^^ Call or email YSM and ask for prepay instead of their fucked up postpay where they siphon money from your bank account. It's a world of difference.

Email support, tell them you have an Adwords campaign your spending $10,000, $20,000 whatever a month on and that you want to move it into YSM as easily as possible. Worked for me, just be nice to them.

Where do you find 90,000 keywords for a targeted campaign? I always read on these forums that you need like 5 - 10 keywords per ad group.
 
I have to agree Yahoo sucks.

I had a free $100 credit and activated it by funding my Ysm account with $30 for a grand total of $130. I saw this amount in my account. I just wanted to test YSm, so I started a very small campign. Within two days those bastards charged my card again
for another $30. I logged in and BAM I do not see any $100 credit.

And so far the conversion rate sucks at ysm. But it sure is cheaper.

Call them up and they will usually put that credit in your account the same day.

did you send them an email? I had the same prob and i sent them an email bitching and about 8-10 of my pending ads were running within a few hours. Now all my ads go straight to approved :)

Few comments on this:

1. takes 2-3 days to get the $100 credit...

2. Change your billing type to prepaid so they don't charger you in advance

3. Are you sure the conversion rate sucks b/c of YSM, or your ad writing? I'm killing it on yahoo and have high 30% to high 40% conversion rates for lots of my offers, (much worse on google, but i haven't run a lot of stuff on adwords yet)
