Yahoo ads not performing

I would try something like this:

Now keep in mind, you'll need to either find YPN ads whose text looks identical to the text that you're using for this content panel, or you should redesign the text in this content panel to look identical to the YPN ad.

Nothing should stand out. The ad background should match what you've got in place, make your normal content links do whatever the YPN links do on rollover, put a URL at the bottom of your site content boxes to look just like YPN, etc.
 


In addition to the above, I would put ads in the yellow area:

Also, I think you did a great job on the design. Don't need to change it, as some suggested. Many entertainment sites are "crowded." ign.com, rottentomatoes.com,etc.

You might want to look into CPM Networks, and/or sell space through text-link-ads or on your own.
 
thanks for all the input, I'm working on incorporating some of these new ideas into the site and seeing the results.

Any more input would be great as well.
 
anyone know of any ads that I can target with YPN that may help me increase revenue? thanks.

I kind of meant for my site specifically (my site has absolutely nothing to do with finance). My CTR is already low, I don't want to lower it anymore.
