Have you tried blog commenting and social bookmarking? If you haven't well do it. It will increase your traffic. By the way, in blog commenting, you have to do it manually. Automating the work will only put your money and effort to waste. Good luck. Hoping for the best!
I have not tried blog commenting but I have tried social bookmarking. I have posted to maybe one or two social bookmarking sites and it has really helped! After i work on my site some more I will continue doing this.
***Update***
The traffic to the site has not peeked. It has increased every month since i started. Traffic has increase about 30% since last month. I have several keywords on the first page. Some on the first three pages of google and one or two in the #1 spot on google.My site is accumulating about 1,000 views a day now(1700 yesterday) but I am only making $1 or so per thousand people using the dosh dosh theme. I used the theme to increase my adsense earnings but $45 a month(i only made $12 last month!) is not enough money. I know i can increase the traffic through hard work but I am thinking of other ways to make money, keep people on the site and make it interactive. So, i need your help since this is really my first blog/seo attempt.
Revenue

-Affiliate marketing- $0 lol. Before I start a tutorial, I have been adding "products you will need for this tutorial" before ever tutorial. I have tried using cj.com and amazon. I only have about 50 clicks and nothing sold.
Ideas
-I am thinking of taking a picture of the actual products so people feel more comfortable when making a purchase.
-Book reviews with a link to purchase the book.
-Seeking art related businesses for advertising on the site.
-Other affiliate marketing help.
-Premium content. Maybe making high-quality tutorials and charging a dollar or two to read/watch/view them.
-Website design for artists. I have bought onlineartportfolios.com I am thinking about using my traffic to make affordable websites for artist. I have teamed up with a guy and hopefully we can launch that in a week or so.
Interaction
-I am currently using facebook and twitter.
-User-generated gallery that uses a separate wp theme when clicked.
Ideas..
-obviously a forum..if people want to ask questions they would go there.
-combining the gallery with the site in a way(this would take a new design and maybe decrease adsense revenue)
-contest
-some way for artist to sell their work or make money
-job posting
Like i said, i am new to this but I want to be able to make the most money without putting out tons of money to try all these ideas. Hopefully someone with more experience can help me with these decisions. Thanks.
