Here is the v1 thread: http://www.wickedfire.com/sell-buy-...ble-powerful-wordpress-csv-import-plugin.html

Hi, i want to get your software but I have one question. Can I post HTML in the post body? like:

HTML:
<a href="{link text}">Click Here</a>

Does it allow choosing your own delimiter? For example a | pipe delimited file instead of comma delimited?

Can it generate tags / keywords? if not, is it possible for you to do something like that?

I know CSV2POST is able to do so but I find it quite expensive.

Sorry if this is covered, but I can't see it.

How do we upgrade if we already purchased V1.0?

I have started using it. It does create Tags. You can use things from the datafeed or text or a mix.

I just used this:

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Tags >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Enter this in field:

{title} keyword1, {topic} keyword2, {category} keyword3

Where keywordX is your keywords just typed out and the datafeed info is in the brackets.

It's my fault for not covering it, I didn't make it clear anywhere.

Just click the download link in the e-mail you got when you ordered again. Instead of being sent to the v1 download, this time you'll be sent to the v2 download.

Nice one. Cheers.

Nice to be here

I would like to have a review copy. Do you have still review copies available? I will review it and post it here

I decided to purchase it and give it a try. Are there any instructions on how to use it? where?

OK HBZSoftware.com. Thanks.

I tested the plugin and is working like a charm. It will save me tons of hours of work.

I need three more funcionalities though.

I wonder if this can be done...

1. How can I select if my posts or pages will be "published" or become "drafts"? This feature comes handy when testing the format of the .CSV files

2. I will use mostly the "posting to pages" funcionality, and I dont want my new pages to clutter my navigation menu. I was using the plugin "Exclude Pages" from WordPress › Exclude Pages WordPress Plugins. Can ths be done also with your plugin?

3. This is the most important funcionality that I need. My pages use three different templates (See Pages WordPress Codex) and I dont see if your plugin can select to which template to post when creating Pages instead of posts.

Can you help me with these three issues. Is there a work-around this?

WordPress › Exclude Pages WordPress Plugins

After purchasing your CSV Imporrt plugin and tested it,
I would like to ask you three things

1. Is it possible to have the posts as a draft instead of directy having the post published?

2. Is it possible to exclude pages from the navigation system such as the funcionality of the
" Exclude Page plugin"
When publishing new pages, Wordpress automatically adds them to the menu navigation system.
Imagine what that will do to your web site if you publish hundred of pages!

3. I need a way to select which template to use when posting to pages. I have three custom page
templates developed and your plugin always use the default template.
How can I work around this problem?

Congratulations on your plugin. It is really worth the price!

Not in the current version. I will include both of these in the next version of the plugin which will be available late December.

Could you elaborate on this? Do you mean the Load/Save Templates feature of the plugin, or something else?

If you select the template you wish to use in the dropdown list on the import screen and then click the load button, the template will be loaded and used for the import.

Louis...

Wordpress lets you Create "Page Templates".
I am using three templates because
1. The first template is a squeeze page to tease subscribers
2. The second template is a Confirm Page
3. The third template is a Thank you Page

The three pages have different layouts and funcionalities. The only way to achieve this is by creating Page Templates.
Once you have more than page template ( the default is page.php), when you create a New Page, a dropdown field appears at the bottom right allowing you to select which page template you want to use.

If you could add this dropdown field to the import screen of your plugin, it would be awesome!, If you can not, I would appreciate your comments on how to achieve it in some other way

I hope it is clear, but this is explained better here: (Straight From the Wordpess Documentation) Pages WordPress Codex

Page Templates

Individual Pages can be set to use a specific custom Page Template (a PHP template file, e.g., snarfer.php) you create within your Theme (see Creating your own Page Templates below on how to create a custom template). This new Page Template will then override the default page.php Page Template included with your Theme. See What Template is used to Display a Particular Page? below, to find out exactly which Template will be used, but read the following first, so you understand the answer :)
WordPress can be configured to use different Page Templates for different Pages. Toward the bottom of the Write > Page administration panel (or on the sidebar, depending on which version of WordPress you are using) is a drop-down labeled "Page Template." From there you can select which Template will be used when displaying this particular Page.
NOTE: In order to access the Page Template selector, there must be at least one custom Page Template available in the active theme (see Creating your own Page Templates below to learn how to create one). If a custom page exists, but you still are not able to see Page Template selector, try to re-activate your current theme."
