Worst Auto Accident I've Ever Seen

Nobody in this thread was there. But you can definitely say the driving conditions, what happened, and know the skill of the driver.

Try to stick to the facts. The only thing you know is that, unless the person did it intentionally, they lost control. You don't know if there was black ice. You don't know if the person was an amazing driver or a crappy one.

not a troll this was a racing instructor...

... It's really a mindset....

And Yes It Is The Ideal - not truly attainable but something that you attempt to accomplish -- especially if you race cars you have to crash. You have to.

But do yourself a favor; next time you strap the car to your ass-- take a moment and think about that. That if you have an accident No matter the reason It Is Entirely Your Own Fault.

One scenario of many that discredits that belief. A traffic jam on Sydney's F3 freeway blocking a bridge across a river at the bottom of a hill. A semitrailer with brake problems and unable to stop comes hurtling down the hill in the break down lane before plowing into a car wiping out a woman and kids on board. Her fault?
Another scenario; I was side swiped by a retarded Indian woman changing lanes without looking. My insurance company agreed with me she was at fault. Her insurance paid. Not my fault. All insurance companies and indeed traffic coppers always look to allocate blame in an accident. The blame can go either way.

But hey, I'm sure you have had a lot more advanced driver training than I have. Your racing Sports Psychologist makes mine look like a monkey. I'm sure you've avoided more accidents than I have. And that whole Performance Institute thing at Methodist Hospital; run by Dr. Steve Olvey -- I'm sure you had Much better test scores than I did. And for sure you have Certainly Won More Races...

And Hey you even started this thread Not Me: http://www.wickedfire.com/shooting-shit/123368-wf-drivers-wanted-thread.html

wtf do I know about driving anyway... lulz

Why would you post that...honestly?

Because, as far as I know either of those aren't directly related to a violent and sudden death, a death for which some poor family is or was in mourning over - not to mention the mental scars for the people who witnessed it.

It's sad what goes viral these days. That video will be on the net as a reminder to the family forever now, who in any other case would not have seen the violent and horrific way their loved ones died. How would you feel if they were part of your family splattered across the road and then the internet?

Jesus, didn't expect the car to come apart like that, didn't look like the vehicles were moving that fast, but I've seen SUV's get hit by trains and hold up better than that.

Was the driver OK? Looked like he might have gotten banged up a little bit there, what with the semi and all.

Yeah, saw this a long time ago. Really sad... and yes, it was obviously ice he hit. Probably driving was his hand loose on steering wheel or even his knee and when it jerked he over recovered pulling too hard.

One thing you are not equating Rage9, is wind.

I lived in North Dakota for over 3 years. The roads and highways were all literally covered in sheets of ice and snow 4 to 5 months out of the year. If you listen to the video, you can hear the wind ripping... and you will notice that the SUV didn't swerve until he got right up on that truck... Have you ever passed a semi during high winds?... it amplifies it by 2 or 3 times. The wind is what jerked the SUV, the driver tried to correct but it was already too late. When I was in the North, every single time we heard of a horrible accident, it was on a day with a lot of wind... the roads were always covered in ice and snow, but it was the wind that made the difference.

I have no idea how much you know about driving but you sir come across as a wanker. Don't need a racing sports psychologists to figure that one out.

Here's my take fwiw:

That wasn't nearly as graphic as I thought it would be after this thread. (I didn't see these alleged bodies but then again I wasn't really try to) It was still pretty horrible though.

That said, I'm all for people watching this. Especially kids. Remember how invincible we all were as teenagers? Next time people are driving down a road like this with these mac trucks all around, maybe they'll remember this video and all it takes to skip one bad accident is to be cognitively aware of what could happen.
