Wordpress vs standalone site

Blogger can be a bitch at times, yes.

No, you do NOT have to have the bar running around the top, you can just switch that off.

The worst thing is the lack of categories. If you have a blog that runs around multiple topics and / or has very short posts, adsense gets confused. Having categorized pages helps the algorithm.

The "all those sites look the same" is a problem every CMS has. It does take work to get a template up and running smoothly, so most people tend to go with free or default.

Great points....I only have one blog on blogger thats doing pretty good think i would be hard to transfer over. Have and ideas to transfer over anyone?? :bigear:
 
Facing the same problem. What I did is leave the old posts where they are, move the index page to a new spot, link to it and just start addingnew and fresh content using the new system.

im pretty sure you can transfer over posts with wordpress, if thats what your talking about.
