WiredTree down

All my shit on wiredtree has gone down, and can't get into Grove. Although the Wiredtree site is still up.

Got a friend in Finland to check its down as well, so its not just my connection.

This is annoying, just last month this shit happened as well.
 


was just about to make a thread. this cost me a decent amount of money. their phone is off the hook and the website is down.
 
WT are pissing me off, a VPS of mine died last month and was offline for 12 hours. I've had issues nearly every month.

ive been with them for less than a month. their tech has been top notch but ive noticed the performance is not great and ive seen quit a bit of downtime.
 
Is there a way to use say 2 dedicated servers with 2 different providers to provide redundancy that would avoid issues like this?

yes...you use your third and fourth nameservers to another server

Ex..

ns1.mysite.com
ns2.mysite.com
ns1.mybackup.com
ns2.mybackup.com


it will default to the first one/two first, then if they don't work then it goes to the others...
 
Well, I've been wanting to give KnownHost a shot for a bit, maybe time to pick up another vps over there.... any opinions/experiences with them?

My WiredTree VPS was down for 15 hours on January 28th. I have been consider moving since that happened.

I might move to LiquidWeb. The slightly higher cost will be worth it if they will not leave my websites offline for 15 hours.

Go with Knownhost. 0 Downtime in the 2 years I have been with them.
