Wii vs. XBOX360 vs. PS3

I own a wii, but I don't play it because I spend too much time working on important stuff.

a neat thing about the 360 is that microsoft has an open development platform for it, so you can code your own games for it. pretty cool. for the record, there are also libraries for using the wiimote, but you can only use them on the computer. nintendo is a lot more private about how to use their hardware.

How many of you on PS3 use the built in wi-fi functionality? How's the response time (generally assuming you're on a good connection to begin with).

I did, with the wireless on a different floor. I still pulled in 90% signal... and there was no difference in wireless or wired (playing Socom Confrontation online with 16v16 player maps.)

A few years back I had the Xbox with the purchased wi-fi add-on and it fucking sucked.

Sweet, that's exactly what I was hoping to hear. I remember Xbox wi-fi sucking at friends and never wanting to repeat it. I may have just decided to pick up a PS3 this week.

I have the Wii and PS3...I only got the Wii for Super Mario Bros line of games, and I mostly play PS3 games designed and made by Sony dedicated to their system (Unchartered Resistance, etc) because ported games usually do not use the full power of the PS3....

If you like playing 3rd party games specifically made for the Wii remote with characters that look like dildo cases then get the Wii, if you like kicking yourself in the ass 2 months after buying a game because it is now on the PC and cheaper then get the xBox..if you want a unique system with a blu-ray to boot get a PS3...
