I'm looking for 4 new moderators to be added to the staff roster. While WF currently has 3 admins, due to the overwhelming amount of contests, members and posts, we need more help.

The moderators tasks include:
- Making sure threads are posted in the proper topic forum categories.
- Removing or editting posts that violate the rules.
- Assisting in and keeping tabs on contests (making sure they are run smoothly).
- Promoting the forum itself (getting links and plugs from blogs and industry related outlets).
- Being mentors to members, especially newbies.
- Keeping the forum as active as possible.

If you're interested in the position, make sure you are a fairly active member already. This position is a volunteer job only. You will not get paid, although I will consider giving you free consulting on AIM.

Post in this thread only, do not PM me. Please list other forums you've moderated for if any. You MUST have experience with vbulletin too. I don't want to have to keep tabs on you if you do in fact get this position, so make sure you are able to keep up with your duties.

There will be a lot of changes and enhancements made to WF in the next month or two, so your job may take on new tasks. If you feel that things are getting out of hand for you, you can either resign, or I will add more sub-mods to help you.
 


I dont have many posts to the forum yet but I am a fairly new member. I have experience moderating a forum that I own so I think I could handle another forum without any problems since I am on here so much.
 
I own several different forums, am an active wickedfire member, run a successful business, spend a good amount of time here, and enjoy kicking some ass. Vote for Pedro.

I'm interested. I've never moderated before but I have experience with vBulletin from both the admin side and the moderator side with my own forums.
 
I'm interested. I've never moderated other forums, but I know how vBulletin works and am around for literally most of the day (hell I was the 19th person to join.. :))

recruit me AGAIN; cause I've got every Tom, DICK, and HAIRY
around trying to get ME on their Team and I just CAN'T handle
any more WORK, ESPECIALLY when rhere's NO MONEY involved !
I can understand WHY you WOOD want to have me do this for
FREE, but I just don't have the TIME or SUBMISSIVENESS
to be CONNED into a position like this with NO PAY and NO POWER !
Regardless of what you say on the board, I KNOW that you'd like to
have ME do it, but I will have to RESPECTFULLY DECLINE !

If you ever create a blackhat forum, then I’d be interested Jon. Rather than discuss automated link spamming and spam sites, it could focus more on sneaky backlink tactics and exploits, link manipulation, IP delivery, advanced SEO, cloaking, content manipulation, doorways, BH tools and scripts, etc.

Most webmasters think BH is about spam and spamming, but it covers all techniques, tactics and concepts for gaming the SEs. Also, I believe there are new, completely un-chartered waters in the BH realm – Blackhat SEO 2.0?

I have managed some forums, not vBulletin though, it was Invision Power Board, and am currently admin of a miniBB, secret domain. I know the user side of vBulletin and could learn the admin side in a matter of minutes.

I have more or less knowledge in all fields you could ever need online. From 3d design to programming to what is mainly discussed on wickedfire.

I'm from Europe and of course we need some european admins too ;D
