Some news to report..

We have 3 new moderators, with a 4th pending when he gets back from his holiday. They are all members here that I met here too. I'm pretty confident that they will do a superb job at moderating this place since my time for it is very limited.

The new moderators are:

Second thing I'd like to announce is some changes that WickedFire will undergoe as far as design and information. The design itself probably won't change because quite frankly, I like it a lot, and I think it needs to stay dark like it's members and topics of conversation. The new things that will be coming by October-November is huge. WF will become a full resource site. I've mentioned this before, and there are literally over 100 different ideas I've been throwing around. I won't get into it, because I don't want my stuff copied, but trust me, it's going to be great stuff.

Third. The premium section is no more. I have decided to just give everything away for FREE. It will only be allowed for members with a certain number of posts and activity ratings high enough, but overall, you won't have to pay a dime for it. After giving it a ton of thought I figured I just don't have the time or patience to start up something that costs money. I may be missing out on thousands of dollars a month, but honestly, the goal of this place is to keep information free, so that's what I'm going to do in the end. There will be advertising to recoup whatever costs this place runs me, but that's the most you'll ever see here. I also want to use the money generated from this to pay for free apparel for members/contest winners, and for parties/events that I hope to sponsor at Affiliate Summit West.

Jon, you said by a "certain number of posts"...do you have a general idea on that number?

We are going to put in a point system most likely to measure how active people are on the forums. People who join and make a bajillion posts will be flagged and investigated. So it will be pretty cool, because it will be able to determine if a person is genuinely active on the forum or not, and reward those who are with access to the now defunct premium section. I think I'll keep the name "premium section", but you won't have to pay anything for it. This will also be able to eliminate making so many contests, because it gives people a goal to be more active. Their participation will be measured month to month as well, so if you're active one month, but not the other, you lose the premium section privelage.

As for the guarantee, that will still stand. I have no doubt in my mind that if you follow my tutorials that you will be able to accomplish at least $1k a month. Some techniques may require an advertising budget, while others may not. I think I'll launch a new idea every month or two to keep everything fresh and keep the incentives there. That's a lot more likely for my schedule too.

Nice decision Jon. I think you'll make more on advertising anyway, giving stuff away often works out that way.
 
This is very cool. I can't wait for the new changes to be rolled out. Hopefully I've been active enough in the forums to be allowing the premium section!
 
Awesome. I can help in other areas if you need it, although I've never been a mod and doubt I would want to be one.

Well I like that idea a lot. I didnt mind so much as the pay, but when I read the first post about it being free now, I thought to myself " get ready for an ass load of people coming here and just clogging up the forums with shit."

I like the idea of the must remain active idea. Great Idea. Keep out all the Asshats.

You can also set it up whereby members can pay to get access to the premium content in addition to the posts based system....so if you don't have enough posts to cover another month, you can pay to have continued access.
 
No Fees for the Premium Section !
