If you have a lot of ram and happen to have no issues with vista, its fine. If you happen to run into the issues that about 50% of people have, or have limited ram, you hate it.
Why the Vista hate (just installed and impressed)

Seems to be the case on any computer with less than 1.5gb of rams, or what I consider the 'bare minimum' 1gb. I wouldn't run OSX, let alone Vista with less than 2gb of rams.
