Why I live in Springfield, Missouri...

The Ozarks are my favorite part of the country. I love Springfield and used to go there when I got tired of Fayetteville and Eureka Springs. Springfield always had enough to do w/out being overwhelming--maybe it just feels that way to me b/c I've lived in small towns 75% of my life. Missouri Ozarks do kick ass though.

NSB FTW!

...... Lamberts.

Lambert's is...well, you have to do it once. Shit ton of food, but not very tasty. I ate there ONCE that week I was out there.

'nother night thing about springfield area....you can actually go 10 miles in 10 min at "rushhour" It was great listening to the locals bitch about taking an extra 5 min to get somewhere at rush hour...should come to DC or NYC or LA

Not very tasty? I've been a few times and it's always been good.
Those rolls they throw at you, fried okra, fried potatoes, and a huge chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes on top!

Never said it was healthy.

^^ whats the green shit on the median? Never seen those in the midwest interstates

It's called a "glare screen" -- it helps prevent headlight glare from oncoming taller vehicles. It also helps screen drivers from slowing down traffic when there is an accident.

Most jersey barriers were designed before the popularity of SUV's (taller vehicles) In my previous life I used to work for the DOT.

No idea. I ain't no suspension bridge scientist.

Dude, you live in Pedro? Is Utro's still open? Best patty melt in the world.

Indeed. Hence the handle! Yeah, it's still there. I haven't been there in a few years though. I will make it a point to now. I was actually at the Lighthouse cafe yesterday and had the patty melt...my bad.
