Shallow Hal is making a thing of her buying ice cream in the cold because she's fat.
Could it be that she made a delicious apple cobbler and needs ice cream to serve it ala mode?
It's funny, this double standard we have - If it were a fat guy buying a six pack (which has more calories than some brands of ice cream) would you comment? If it were an uber-skinny guy buying celery would you comment?
But I digress...
Acai berries maybe, but how many people do you know can walk up to someone in a grocery store or restaurant and with a straight face ask if they'd like to discuss the benefits of a Colon Cleanse.

Well, my juvenile friend, the answer to that question is so completely obvious that I'm practically incensed that you didn’t discern the answer for yourself in the first place.
Firstly, the very act of depicting nubile angels as sexual objects is morally appalling. Even more damaging, it encourages other blameless, pubescent young women to emulate these squalid tramps in the effort to attract the lustful attention of males. Naturally, this is because these poor, virginal innocents believe that any attentions of the opposite sex are desirable, no matter how detrimental they may be.
Moreover, this erroneous stance will cause said Lolita to engage in a lifetime of submissive and subservient behavior in the effort to please the testosterone-fueled ignorance of the brainless male, who only wants to utilize her taut, slippery squish-mitten.
This whole demeaning process has been tragically repeated for eons by naïve adolescents. It’s simply heartrending, really.
