Well, it's an example and also one that didn't exactly come out right. The star ended up in sort of a weird place on the right, and the space between the header and body was at first too tall... which made it look funny... and then too short... which made it look funny.

If your having trouble with the star try absolute positioning or align it to the right and then give it a negative top margin so if the image is 100px high and you want it in the middle set your css to this:

margin-top: -50 px;

Not the best method but it works for things like that.

Often the problem I find out with people that can't outsource is they don't know how to communicate an idea to a designer/coder clearly. It's one thing if you find a bad apple in the bunch but if "all" are bad apples sometimes it's good to look inward.

Now reliability is another story all together. But actually getting something that you want depends much more on your communicating then their skill level. Just my 2 cents.

When the communication basically is a picture you want translated into html, what can go wrong?

Other than that, you're right, Smaxor.

OK, sorry to burst your bubble, BUT..

1. If you are being anal about THAT design, you need a life.
2. If you find it hard to find a coder for that design, you need to find a good coder.
3. If you are going broke over this, you need to set priorities.
4. If you are not paying them, you take what you get and shut up. Coders need to pay for food and rent as well.
5. As I see it, you are a whiny bitch and that's why no one wants to code for you.

As a fix:
Grab some money and have someone code your "great design".
Money = whining rights.

A note for the grand designers

And yes, I have it up to here with "great designers" who just don't know their stuff.

Internet != Print

If you really think <clue whiny designer voice>
"It is so easy. After I looked at that video, why don't everyone do THAAAAAT instead?"

Then fucking do it yourself.

No money, no clue about code, but you got whining down pat.

...grumble..fuckers..grumble..mumble...asshat designers...mumble... can stick their photoshope where the sun don't... mumble...no clue...
