Zip submits are easiest to make money with. I ran my very PPC campaign with a zip submit and began profiting right away. Find a need related to the offer, write a compelling ad, drive massive traffic to it. People are generally lazy...entering a 5-digit zip code is much easier than fill out a form.
i was originally DL with one on Yahoo, they shut it down 3 times. I did an LP. they shut it down again. Starting to loose patience...
The big earner has an LP though...

With the LP and zip do you just use some PHP to submit the link to the offer? or is there a better/different way to get around this?
not sure what you mean, do you mean to pass the zip code? or just link to the offer page?
i use a php redirect to link to the submit page. I don't pre populate or pass any info to the form, user has to enter it...

I only bid $0.10 on yahoo. My EPC is always around $0.20. I never found it worth it to do a landing page for email submits unless you were doing something like this:

Big earner is google and yahoo, other two were just yahoo.
My bids are typically around half of My EPC
for 7k offer its 25-30 cents on google, 20-25 on yahoo.

I am testing with .13 on yahoo and barely make profit...I guess kw and offer..
I ran a ZIP submit with a $1 payout and bid .33 on Yahoo for some of the KWs. Had a simple LP and was converting like crazy. Daily ROI was between 60 and 130%.
It ran for about a week when the network asked me to shut my campaign down because my traffic was not converting for the advertiser.
Funny thing is that there are ads still running for the same offer and KWs.
Even though I got paid, I try to stay away from this type of offers.
keep in mind that for the big earner, i had an LP most of that time, so the conversion rate is only on click-through from the LP, not conversion from the actual ad they clicked in the SE,,
but they are still pretty good even after factoring that all in
