another vote for TomTom, very cool, easy to use and informative..

voice guided

find restaurants and POIs close to where you are with ease..

if you're talking car gps I STRONGLY recommend the Navigons. Others will say garmins and tom toms, but once you go Navigon you'll never switch back.
I recommend the navigon 5100 (the 7100 is the same but has a 4.3" screen instead of a 3.5") and its super cheap right now for less than 300 but far outperforms any other gps on the market, even the $800 ones, not to mention its features are waaay too cool.

It has reality view which means when you come to an exit it pans in to show a 3d view of exactly how the exit looks with an arrow of where you're supposed to go and what lane to stay in. It comes with free lifetime traffic reports which warns you when a traffic jam or construction is going on and gives you a ton of details about it such as how many miles the traffic jam is and how much of a delay it'll cause you as well as routing options. It even gives you road condition reports like ice and such. It also is autoupdating so you never have to update the maps it updates as you drive (like the new tomtom does) which means you don't have to download maps for other states and countries you just bring it with you. It also shows you very detailed views of every building around you including atms unlike the others that just shows you streets and points of interest.

Sorry to sound like a commercial I've just been through so many gps' before and after I heard navigons came to the united states finally and got one I got rid of all my other ones. It's just straight up pimp and now its super cheap so I have no reason not to sing its praises even though when i bought it it was over $600.

NAVIGON sucks so bad, atleast the lowest model, purchased it around 150 and it constantly showing no signals around los angeles, worse purchase ever made

How often will you use it, when do you need it? I have a decent Magellan one, it does the job well and useful when going on out of town trips where you do a little driving (Houston comes to mind as its pretty spreadout). If you don't need one soon I would wait until the black friday sales, you'll get one at a deeply discounted rate, even more so this year with sales expected to be down significantly.

I'm using CoPilot on my TyTn2.

I used to have Destinator on my previous phone, which I thought was much better, but the recent versions of it just didn't update their Australian city maps, so fuck them.
CoPilot's downside is that it has almost nothing in the way of Australian POI that aren't national monuments, and the system for adding new items to the POI list is a pain in the arse. Also trying to tell it you'd like to see a route map from a place you're not currently in is a bit trying too.

Still, not bad for a free solution.

GPS is for suckers ...

it's more funny to get lost in the world and ask the women for directions .... "excuse me ... can you tell me ... where is .... can we drink a cup of coffee together ... yumm yumm"
