Just go with what's popular and making tons of money. Like right now, they have a new Snuggie Pet Rock Blanket, I'd jump all over that shit.
Trends are 10% or less of what I do. I've been focused on long-term niches for 10+ years. I started because I wanted to make money, but then I learned from there. Knowing certain industries, research,etc.

If you want real knowledge, stop posting in STS and make yourself useful to someone, then ask them privately. There are hundreds of threads covering this. No one who knows anything worth knowing, is going to spill it in a public thread, in the offtopic section of the forum.
Go to the newbs forum and read for a couple weeks. And if you want to make money, stay out of STS.
