It depends who you ask. It ranges from things like "End the Fed" and get money out politics, all the way to bailouts for student loan debt. Some of the goals are legit and some are idiotic but as of yet they are all over the map and pulling in different directions. The invulnerable attitude is kind of wild, but it's not going anywhere. Hackers(as individuals) exist on the idea that they are just a little bit smarter, just a little bit more cautious than the "other guy" who got caught.

The minute a hacker gets caught and how he got caught becomes public the first thing the community does is jump down the "how stupid do you have to be to do xyz" hole. It's pretty clear when you watch it happening.

It's always "the other dumbass" until you're the dumbass. It's not a lot of foresight, but it's also part of what keeps the community going.

Surveys of participants have been linked in here. Most of them are employed and 30% have incomes over $50,000. 15% earn over $75,000.

Paul's Camp is really missing the boat by not targeting these folks fully. There needs to be a serious, no-holds-barred effort by Paul's ppl to put every relevant quote of his in front of the demands of OWS... Across every site on the internet mentioning their demands/problems/etc.

Futher, there needs to be a SOLID action plan presented to OWS that states it should motivate its' members to all register republican right now and vote Paul in the repub primaries. Without that effort RP can't win, so it really is the last chance OWS has to use RP at all.

I've thought about that, and seen it, especially in the Cost Rica-Panama crowd with which I used to hang out (both the hackers and anybody else up to absolutely anything; it's always the other guy who's the dumbass that will get caught.) I just wonder, since a "hacker war" is the next logical response, how the l33t guys will respond when people of equal skill, but also with salaries, are tracking them down; and people with other less cool skills are breaking their fingers with pliers and whatnot.
