Whats the fastest hosting speeds you experienced

I am not sure about many of you on here but being in australia it is hard to find hosting environments where you can upload / download files very quickly given that the fastest adsl you can get it adsl2 @ 24mbps down and 894k up.

Long story short I have been setting up a new hosting environment and after a bit of testing I have been able to upload a 18.75MB file in 3 minutes then download the same file in just over 10 seconds.


While this is not worlds fastest there is 300 sites on this box doing some fairly serious traffic...

whats your experience?

im surprised you got that speed at all. that's kind of incredible. max dl i get it around 1.8mb. just gotta wait for NBN to roll out in your area.

dexter.ss I could only wish for NBN... New section of our estate has it installed and activated however the rest will not get it because the dev would not spend an extra $50k to deploy... As a result I have to wait 4 years apparently!!!
