Right now since Breaking Bad and Sherlock are on break, definitely the new House of Cards - very entertaining, although I just watched three episode thus far.

BTW.....I thought that Death Note was ONLY Anime and Manga. Though it was good......Inuyasha and Naruto & Naruto Shippuden have it beat.

'The best' are probably Breaking bad, GoT, Sopranos but it's hard to say.

These are not 'the best' shows by any means but here are some not yet mentioned new shows you guys might be interested in:

Utopia - pretty cool UK conspiracy show with style
Banshee - stay with it a few episodes.. some bad ass fights
The Americans - decent spy show so far
Justified - good show staring Timothy Olyphant (Bullock from deadwood)
The Following - Keven Bacon.. decent so far
Cult - might be good.. too early to say.. but it stars Teabag so how could you go wrong?
