You don't need to resort to "the Bible tells me so" to uncover the logical fallacies inherent in atheistic belief systems.

Srsly though, that's just the way it is. Look at the steaming pile of faggotry known as the Reddit community, for example. Any post beginning with "As a gay male..." or "As a black male..." gets upvoted like crazy. Let me tell you why...
There is a hilarious misconception that being outwardly tolerant of people who are generally or historically discriminated against makes you cool. Therefore, if you white-knight some gay Muslim (who needs no white-knighting, at least not online), you will be perceived as incredibly sophisticated and progressive.
Christians? Well, shit, they've been the popular kids in this country for centuries. It's totally not cool to support them. That's like listening to Fallout Boy.
Kingofsp, you have a point, but I'll mention that Ron Paul is relatively popular on reddit. Atheists Hitchens and Dawkins are also, and they are both outspoken against Islam (or aspects of it at least.) The default setting on reddit doesn't allow stuff from the atheism subreddit onto the front page now, but before that I noticed stuff critical of Islam would make the front page.
If what you are saying was true to a high extent, then something like the Green Party should be much more popular among them, instead of the 200 year old Democrat party, that usually has white males with gray hair as their candidates. Obama might get extra support on reddit because of his skin color, but they would also tend to favor Joe Biden instead of a black gay Green Party candidate.
