What would you do for a .EDU?

Sooooooooo......I got my hands on some edu sites. Yup. I was thinking about offering a service to those in need -

I was thinking something like I would have people p a y x amount for x amount of anchor text backlinks from the subdomain to your page(s) per month - you basically r e n t space on the subdomain or b u y the whole subdomain.

I would have 3 levels of that - or so...each higher price but more features...

The 4th level would be your own wordpress install and ability to autoblogg and anything else you wanted to do to your hearts content for XXX a month.

I have not s o l d this yet, but I have the whole thing built and ready to go. I have also tested this with several different keywords with different degrees of difficulty in ranking them - it works well on both - a little faster on the non compete words.

What would WF p a y for this service? What would you guys s e l l it for?


Can you imagine owning educationxxx edu - or scholarshipsxxxx edu and then running those offers? Linking back? Autoblogging hundreds of links to your sites - anchor linking with smart links to all of your sites....just imagine!

Anyways, this is going to happen for sure, so I wanted to see what you guys thought about pric ing and ideas for it - since I value your opinions and all...

I hear ya - I don't really post cuz I don't have much to say - too busy working. That's also why I am asking you guys - you prolly hang out here alot more often and see what comes through. Just advice - not trying to sell OR rip anyone off - I make plenty of money I don't need everyone elses.

I have 8 sites to be exact.
 
I will send a list in a day or so after I get some more data and decide prices. That's why I posted - I wanted you guys to give me some input on what you would sell or buy it for. :D
 
PM list when you get some more data. Jazzed .edu's get thrown over board all the time. If you have harvard.edu vs. legalizepot.edu, there is a bit of a difference.
 
ya it's not a legalisepot.edu type. It's much better. Nobody here is willing to talk $$? Really? I would figure WF would have an opinion about what it would be worth....to sell and to buy.
 
How the fuck is anyone supposed to even assess what anything is worth if you are not willing to provide any solid info.

What you are doing right now is akin to saying, "I have 8 cars in my garage for sale or rent by the month. What would you be willing to pay?"

Well naturally no one is going to even make an offer because they have no idea what the cars look like, how they run, and what type of bitches they will be able to pull in their new whip.

Stop being so secretive if you are serious and if you are just trolling then GTFO.
 
I have see this kind of deal before, it did not last long. The PR went down to hell very quick to.You cant really talk about it out in the open, PM only otherwise it will get in to wrong hands.BTW, if I remember it was $20/mo for 1 full page , more for subdomain.
Anyway, 8 edu sites it sounds like webmaster ( not the owner)trying to cash in on the access to it. Short lived business and probably not legit.
 
Jesus people. I'm not the damn webmaster and I am asking for friggen averages, or what people have done or seen in the past - kind of like freeport2008 reply. If yo udon't want to contribute - then you are the troll FFS.

No there is going to be a set limit on how many we allow on each sub to not let the PR go to shit, etc.

I wanted a damn idea before presenting it to customers - but I didn't want to give the URLS for obvious reasons. They are all PR 4 and up. They are uni type edus not bullshit elgg sites or some blog you can make an ID on.

So I guess 8 BMW 5 class and up......how much pussy would you get?

With that kind of attitude you ain't gonna get far.

Present solid info. PR of each domain, PR of the page links are gonna be placed on, how many backlinks the domain/page has, age, where the links are gonna be posted (homepage, inner page, header, footer, in text), generic subjects of each domain, etc... You are too vague dude.

If you can't post this minimum of information, we can safely assume you don't have what you are talking about.
 
Murderistic, I will pay you $250/month for each sub-domain page I receive. Each subdomain must retain the pr of the home page pr, which is common for legit .edu's.

If you have 8-subdomains available, then I'll pay you $2k/month.

Now that you have at least an offer, and you still froggy, leap.

Caveat: if any one of the domains loses page rank - then I want a 100% guarantee money back guarantee. And good looks and promises don't cut it for a guarantee. I'll need some info about your credibility.
