I'll go to Germany and Austria soon, and i am trying to find the best places to visit there. Any recommendation?

This are included in my list already in Austria:

- Prater
- Wien , Schonbrunn
- Innsbruck

This are in Germany:

- Munich
- Europe Park ( Rust )

Looking for your suggestions. Thanks!

if you like nature visit the Stubai valley, it's a 15 minutes drive from Innsbruck, about 30 minutes to go through the entire valley up to the glacier station and you can even take the lifts (check if they are open, they might close for some days during summer) and go to the Top of Tyrol (an amazing observation deck).

If nature is not one of your interestes ignore this post

Berlin, Cologne. In Austria check out Vienna as said before. Why aren't you going to check out Poland and the Czech Rep too? Awesome cities (Krakov) there.

Check out the Dachau concentration camp in Munich.

If you're into partying.. pm me for recommendations in Munich.

Depends on what you are interested in, Munich will probably offer anything you're interested in. I'd recommend you to get a 'Marco Polo' Travelguide as they usually have quite interesting places sorted by different topics to avoid people ending in a museum while they were looking for a brewhouse :)

Thanks Icecube, i love nature, and your suggestion is awesome. I just checked some pictures from Stubai valley, i'll go there for sure

What are the average prices per night there?

If you make it to Hamburg, check out the Reeperbahn. This is the city's Redlight district :) It's a lot of fun! Clubs, Food & Prostitutes...

Take a trip up the Mosel River (train or boat). Lined with little castles, vineyards and wine festivals. Idyllic.

Baden Baden in the Black Forest is pretty nice, too.

Also another vote for the Czech Republic.

In northen Germany, Lubeck

thanks a lot for all advices, + rep to those that wrote good suggestions. still looking for more ideas

Agree with Heidelberg. Neuschwanstein is cool and all, but has more of a museum feel to it than a piece of history like many of the other castles. The salt mine tour in Salzberg was fun. Lucerne Switzerland is nice, Chateau de Chilon near Montreaux Switzerland is worth visiting. From there we went through the Alps and took a ride on a gondola up in the mountains, not sure where it was. Nordlingen had a wall built around the entire town that you could walk. The Black Forest and Alps was my favorite areas.

Go to Berghain in Berlin. Tresor, Club Weekend and Club Maria are awesome too.

all pretty good recommendations. club maria unfortunately closed 3 weeks ago. tresor, watergate and weekend are defo on your must do list while in berlin!

check out munich and vienna too while you are here. and why don't you go over to amsterdam? pretty awesome city too

and hit me up when you come to berlin, will have a beer or ten....

MUST do in Geramny:

Berlin: The city of artists is a MUST. You can party 24 hours a day and have everything imaginable available to you. Do one of those sightseeing tours to get a great overview. Some great things to look at beside the obvious Reichstag/Checkpoint Charlie and Brandenburg Gate: Funkturm, Citadelle in Spandau, Schloss Sanssouci, Schloss Charlottenburg and insider tip the Pergamon Museum! If you haven't seen Berlin, you have NOT seen Germany.... oh - Bonus spot just south of Berlin - Spreewald! Imagine going around by boat like in Venice everywhere....

Hamburg: Reeperbahn (red light district), Fischmarkt and the biggest Container Harbor in the world (if memory serves me right)

Luebeck: Totally agree with Luebeck... Very historic city

If you love really old building and history: Heidelberg and Rothenburg an der Tauber!

Cologne is cool but take a look at Koblenz!!!! Do a tour on the Rhine looking and all the castles along the river and visit the Castle Ehrenbreitstein in Koblenz.

Munich is a must as well as Nuernberg... Then you have the black forrest etc.. Totally agree with Berchtesgarden. When in Austria may I suggest Seefeld, Tirol?

Also, if you do some of those cities already... think about Brussels (hate the people LOVE the city, museums and buildings), Amsterdam and Prague!!!! WELL, worth the time spend there. When in Austria take a short trip down to Milan or hit northern Italy.

Oh man.... I need to travel some more and see those places again....
