What text editor / IDE do you use for development?

Sublime. I love how customizable it is. You can make it look exactly how you like it, and do just about whatever you want it to. Sorry for the big screenshot, but this is what my interface looks like. It's using the Theme - Phoenix package (which was based on Soda, but so much better) and my own modified version of the Twilight colour scheme.

I tried the Phoenix theme, but couldn't get the Light version working. Apparently I am the only one who doesn't like dark backgrounds.

Sublime is great, but I've been addicted to Vim for too long. I love my vimrc and custom snippets/macros I have set up.

I use phpDesigner (windows only), good IDE and important for me it has built in sftp support so I can edit live.

Sublime has a pluggin for that.

sublime text 2... with a couple plugins you can make it vim with a nice UI

For my day job, I use Visual Studio 2010. On the whole, I think it's the best IDE available for any platform or language.

For my personal after-hours development, I use the same but added the PHP Tools for Visual Studio plugin.
