Photoshop & Dreamweaver hands down... and sometimes throwing in FlashFXP

I never really got efficient with Illustrator, so I usually have to outsource that type of work.

After I learned what I was doing with HTML I couldn't stand to work with the WYSIWYG programs like Dreamweaver. I would spend too much time trying to clean-up the html. So much so, in fact, that I found that it was just simpler to build in Notepad.

notepad, photoshop, frontpage, smartFTP, firefox + extensions, and Winamp for a little trance music motivation :D

Notepad
Dreamweaver
Internet Explorer/Firefox
Paint Shop Pro 7 (it's old but it starts up really fast, it's great to do some quick editing) and Photoshop
FlashFXP

I use dreamweaver for the site management / upload features. It makes it very easy to download, open, edit, save, and upload remote files. It is also nice to have to have the automatic code suggestions. I haven't yet found another software package with these same features... but I am sure there are some out there.

I never even use the "design view" or any of their code management / insertion features. I agree with you about having to always clean up the html.
