Just bought receiptporn.com after seeing an article on yahoo titled "Rich Kids Behaving Badly On Instagram".

Link: 'Rich Kids of Instagram': Overserved and Oversharing - Yahoo! Finance

Turns out a bunch of rich kids are posting pics of vacations, golden AK-47's, and receipts.

Here's why I picked up the domain..

The site also marks the debut of a whole new genre: "receipt porn." Some posts consist of a photograph of a 100,000-euro meal receipt from St. Tropez or a $42,000 bar bill.

If it has any potential maybe we can turn this into a case study, clickbank ebook, or WSO.
 


That has fantastic potential.

Make a membership/forum site. Allows users to post, but like allow them to like purchase forum titles. If they're willing to pop $XXXXX to prove they're the "king" of the interwebz, then why not let them pay you for it?
 
I feel like you'll suffer because of the word "porn" in it.

I know it doesn't have anything to do with porn but you'll have a tough time marketing it because of that.

Lol, you must've just beat me to it. That's pretty much the only reason I read Yahoo. Picked up a few really food nexus 7 domains that way.

Was about to get nexus7.co waited 30 fucking seconds and it was gone, got a few other good ones though.

on a slightly related side note, Yahoo writers and commenters are probably some of the dumbest people in the world.
 
When you search for receipt porn a lot of the results are for receipt of child pornography. You might want to see if you can pick up baller receipt(s) since that's a common term as well.

Damn can't believe this got so many replies.

I'm going to build this out really quick, grab some traffic in the next couple of months and sell it to the threeringblogs group who runs people of almart, girls in yoga pants, etc.

Does anyone have a template or theme that they have in mind for this type of site? I found a possible people of walmart clone and I have a list of 25 pinterest look-a-like themes, but I'd like to use something at least semi unique.

If anyone could recommend a wp theme or something that would be great.
