damn sure a $6000 mattress will be better quality and won't sag on you in 3 years. Your $200 mattress might be comfortable at first, but it won't last. The reason mattresses cost more is because of the materials they are built with.

Lay down on every mattress you can find and buy the one that's comfortable to you. Don't pay any attention to brand and don't pay attention to price (as long as it's in your budget). There's nothing saying a $6k mattress will be more comfortable to you than a $200 one.

Ok, so assume the bed craps out after 4 months and isn't as comfortable. Buy another one. That's 10 years of fresh new beds that you find comfortable for the same $6k. And I can promise that $6k bed won't be as comfortable as it was after 10 years.

i was thinking of getting the tempurpedic, are they worth the $? anyone here have one? Ill spend anything if the bed is worth it, 1/3 of my day is spent in bed, might as well be comfortable

yes it is

i have a celebrity tempurpedic.. nothing beats it

it's your back, wait till you get old like some of us lol

there is a difference. you don't need to spend $6k, but $2k-$3k will make a huge difference. ask anyone you know that owns a good bed. they will tell you there is a difference.
I've had mine for 5 years now almost, and it's just as comfortable now as it was when I bought it

ha i forgot i started this thread last night, i had just got home after a number of drinks. :food-smiley-010: but yeah i was thinking about the bed i fell asleep in at Harrahs in AC. casino beds are always the shit. anyway ill def take these suggestions into consideration

I sleep on a bed of NAILS, it's what gets me up and going in the morning...when I get tired of that, I go sleep in my Hummer...thanks CX Digital!

I got a sealy posturepedic and i love it.

I've heard good things about the memory foam ones too.

I agree about spending money - never go cheap on beds or shoes, cos if you're not in one you're in the other,

Don't forget, you can get the best mattress money can buy, but if your sheets and comforter suck, it won't be worth it. The sheets make a HUGE difference as well, so get some serious thread count.

This is so true, i bought all the bedding from the St Regis, best thing i ever did, i should just buy their bed

Mine was about $1,500, but that's besides the point. I never said don't buy an expensive bed, I said buy the one that's most comfortable for you within your price range. Everyone will think a different bed is most comfortable.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned latex yet (unless that's what Americans call foam, but I'm pretty sure they're different). I bought a latex mattress a year ago and it's great.. heavy though.

Yeah we know what latex is..and kinda wondering if you do.

Does anyone who replied in this thread actually own the bedding from the W store? I had been thinking about buying it for a while now, I have it pulled up ready to check out, and with a 40% discount code I found, its still $600ish. Curious if anyone who actually owns it can say if its worth it.
