FFS Jon, you're better than this. At least make an effort to provide some new, high quality content for free before turning on the paid section. It's basic shit: you whet the appetite of readers with some good quality posts, get them excited, and then in the last peice of free content you invite them to the premium section. Think CCarter quality posts, but with a buy button at the end. It would have been an easy sell, tons of people here have been longterm members and love this place. Instead you've pissed everyone off by turning up out of the blue and saying things are going paid, and then actually making no changes at all before turning on the paywall. I mean, what the fuck did you expect would happen? And to make matters worse, you managed to piss off what few moderators and old timers you had left by accusing them of leaving, while you yourself had been the most notable absentee.
