so you already split test your LP, and A works better than B. Do you now optimize ur ad copy, or you continue optimizing LP?

You might want to elaborate on your definition of ad copy. To some, it's what your putting in PPC, to others it's the sales letter on the page.

You should be optimizing your PPC and LP constantly to increase your CTR and conversions.

I assume you already tested the PPC prior to testing the LP.

I usually test all of them at once, so I'll have a few different adcopies and at the same time I will split test LPs as well. But I make sure the adcopies all flow with the LP, so keep that in mind when you test different variations in your copy.

i'm talking about the ppc ad copy.

sounds like you have a shitty campaign you are trying to convince yourself won't be shitty once you hit a "certain percent" and think optimization is going to make some drastic changes... don't waste your (and our) time on stupid technicality BS. there is no "right way" of doing it and talking about it as if there were is just wasting time

the campaigns not shitty, i'm not gunna be balling, but i mean its making money..

but i mean if i change around my ppc ad copy, that could effect cvrs on my LP, but if i changed both at the same time, and my CVRS rise or fall, i'm not going to know which it was

worry more about making money and what works.. you've tested a few landers. great. take the one with the 10% higher click-through. it really will not effect your conversions as drastically as market saturation for displaying your ads for longer periods of times.

in other words: focus more on scaling the campaign rather than the technicalities of over-analysis

uh, yeah you will, split test all of it via prosper

text ads 1/2/3/...N

landing pages (via landing page rotation script) 1/2/3/4/N

Now- want a better tip?

"weight" it so that your best performing landing page (via the LP rotation script) is getting 75% of the traffic, and then use the smaller remainder to test a few others. This way you'll have to wait longer to get statistical significance HOWEVER will likely not all of a sudden take a winning LP and throw 2 shitty ones in with it and go from 100% traffic to the winner to only 33% and 66% to 2 losers and thus go negative.

once you see usable data back adjust accordingly, and then keep testing.

Ads & LP's at the same time. Aim for establishing a control ad-->LP as quick as possible.

Then, like Sonny Forelli says, point 75% of the traffic to the proven combo... and 25% testing the major things like headlines, pictures and captions, calls-to-action

You can easily do it with the Prosper LP rotation script.
