What do you guys think? Is this script worth it?

Hey all, I am new to this community and I have decided to start off with an arcade script. After doing a careful research I decided to go for the <url removed> script. They have 1600 games and saw that they are the only one to provide an automatic games installer.....which is kinda cool cuz I will be able to install games in bulk in the future.

I have found a discount voucher on DP which gives a 35% discount too, the code to that voucher is "33xs0ddd"...the owner of the site says that this voucher is limited...hope it works.

I have made my decision but want to ask if anyone else has used them...I was hoping to hear for some kind of a feedback....maybe I'll let you know if this discount works after I purchase.

In my experience arcade sites don't make that much from Adsense, however you may do well with affiliate offers..try your luck.

I have no experience here, but I know several people that do. The general consensus from them is that after owning an arcade site, you couldn't pay them to run another one.

I think the main problem is that most arcade sites have the same games as every other arcade site out there. I could see it being profitable if you had exclusive games, but that's not something that's easy to do.

Being a gamer myself, I rarely go to any of these generic arcade sites. Usually the first result in google for "Mario Brothers Flash Game" gets my business.

You really have to think about what you're up against. Do I want to play old school nintendo games? Then I can go download roms and emulators to have all of the games accessible from my desktop.

Do I want to play flash games? If I'm into that, chances are I've already got a favorite site picked out from the thousands that are available.

People going to free arcade sites for the most part are probably 9-17 years old, and not interested in buying anything. You need a ton of traffic to make anything off of adsense, and like the guy above me said, game sites don't tend to do very well with adsense.

I'm not trying to discourage you, and if you think it'll be profitable then don't listen to me. Just trying to let you know what I've heard before you get too heavily invested with your time and money.

Its probably going to take you forever to earn back the $50 you paid for the script.

Check out FREETurnkey.net - absolutely free turnkey scripts and resources - free, turnkey, scripts, resources they have a free arcade script there.
But as the people above said the ads won't pay well.

scottspfd82 also mentioned that the younger crowd that arcades attract don't want to buy anything BUT they love the free ipod offers and all the other tons of other zip/email submits.

Also remember that arcades use an assload of BW too.
