What do you do when you're stuck for ideas?

I usually just head to a cafe, get a coffee and read the paper... Puts the focus on something else, and i usually come back with ideas

Sometimes when I find myself struggling to come up with new ideas, I take a step back and realize that I don't need any new ideas. It's just easier to brainstorm than it is to snap out of it and get back to work scaling the shit that is already working.

Come hang out in #serious on freenode. Or #mafia on irc.krono.net It's pretty much constant idea bouncing between really capable people. The ideas that flourish do so with great vigor. There is nothing better than sitting around with other people that are capable and figuring out why something wont work, fixing it, and making the idea better.

Whenever I feel uninspired I come hangout for an hour. Or I go dickroll people in #cakes.

Man for some reason I cant connect to irc.krono.net. WHat is up with that network?

Start researching random niches and figuring out how affiliates are pushing them...

This inspires you into thinking up new shit.

This is good advice.

Its a hard slump to get out of. My personality seems to lead me to lots and lots of IM block. Ive yet to find the best way to get back in gear.

But some advice is be careful of taking to much time off work. It starts with a day then a weekend then weeks. Its pretty fun doing whatever you want all day but once you get trapped in the idea its a bitch to get back behind the desk.

This is true. I went from taking half of june and half of july off this summer cause i was away on vacation...that month off turned into two months off, then three months off...i'm just now starting to get a little bit of rhythm back but its still going to be another few weeks before i am fully back...it was a wonderful summer though.
