What do you ask of your affiliate managers?

Well all I can really say to that is that when I was an AM, the affiliates who called me and asked for help got full page/site critiques with SEO and PPC advice. It took me hours in some cases to get together a report for them and one or two big affiliates I spent days on every month.

The ones who listened to me and implemented the chamges I suggested generally improved their earnings by 30% and some doubled them.

So call your AM. Don't call your AM. Either way makes no difference to me, but I know which one I'd be doing.

I didn't know AM's knew that much, I'm working on getting some sites up, this would be good to speak to my AM about. I made a similiar thread a while back, and everybody just said they don't really know that much basically what I was saying.

People are cautious about AM's finding out their keywords through tracking conversions, so why wouldn't anybody be cautious about the site they're using and the content they have on the site? Would AM's still be able to help with SEO if you have offers from other sites on there for example a review site?

I have a helpful AM at azoogle, I have been provided landing pages and keywords, offered to have my landing page checked out. In the beginning I didn't want to ask too much either since I didn't want to be annoying, but I just start asking whatever, if I make money then they make money. Everybody starts out somewhere.

Every "Super Affiliate" had to start out some where :)

Your AM should never ignore you or put you on the back burner. If they do you need a new AM.

Another thing I noticed is that if you don't ask then they won't know what you need help with. Sometimes I've asked questions and wondered, well why didn't they just tell me that to begin with. It's since they don't know what you know or don't know or what you need help with.

Affiliate Managers and affiliates are "in bed together" in sorts. That means your AM should not be shy about telling you what works best and should be responsive to your needs. Helping you grow brings us a lot of pleasure...i mean more $$$. :1bluewinky:

When looking for something new I ask this:

1.) What is your top 2 converting offers right now?
2.) What are your top affiliates producing daily with these offers?

If the conversion is too low or the top affiliate is doing dick all, I move onto the next offer.

I agree that affiliate managers are not necessary, but they sure do help with earnings. My current AM on azoogle helped me earn 100% more than when I didn't talk to him :)

I AM AN AFFILIATE MANAGER!
If your not earning they shouldn't ignore you. They should ask WHY?
Are your banners not up to date, Do products fit page content, How are your keywords for CTR??????????? Take in affiliates and Turn Out Super Affiliates.
LET'S ALL EAT

Mine has a tendency to call me daily. Which is kinda cool. But the AM really shines through when I ask "such and such isnt converting today but has been for the past 2 weeks" and he finds there was an error and credits my account with the missing money. My AM also hooks me up with private offers. I like to run some landing pages by mine to make sure what I am doing is allowed by them.

Care to share which company you're on?

Azoogle. I have been a member for a long time though and just started really getting into it this past 2 months. Before zero calls, I didn't even have a picture or contact information of my AM. Then I started making money and showed up on his radar and everything's hunky dory.
