I was amazed at how bad my bose cans really sounded when I switched to my audio technica's.

I care a lot less about the sound quality than I do about their epic noise cancellation. I can hear less with these things on than I can with earplugs in, and I have the added bonus of listening to music, etc.

I know all of this shit is subject to listener approval, etc. but I've gone through a few different pairs of NCs trying to find something that works. These definitely fit the bill.

Honestly NC headphones aren't ever bought for audio quality. The tech itself reduces the quality of the music. So as long as they work for what you want them for (noise cancellation) there is really no need to fuck about trying to find "high quality" cans.
