lately, I’ve been reading about antinatalism—the idea that bringing new people into the world might not always be a good thing. I know, it goes against pretty much everything we’re taught to believe. Most of us see having kids as a natural or even necessary part of life. But antinatalists ask, “Wait—what if it’s not?

what ae your thoughts?

Better not to start this topic, because to me, it's a crazy idea from someone who just happened to gain followers. I don't believe in it, and I don't think it's a good idea.

That’s a really interesting topic, and I appreciate how you framed it. Antinatalism definitely challenges the default belief that having children is always a positive or necessary thing.

I think it raises valid ethical questions — especially about suffering, consent (since no one asks to be born), and the impact of overpopulation on the planet. On the other hand, many people find deep meaning, joy, and purpose in raising children, and that’s just as real.

Personally, I think it comes down to individual values and the kind of world we’re trying to build. It’s not about saying no one should ever have kids, but maybe asking why we do — and making that choice with more awareness.

Curious to hear what others think too.
