I just had to share some highlights on my brothers.

I'm from Northern Cali, and when I drove through Redding the smoke was unbearable. :) A lot of my family are also assisting in the fires there. :)
 
Everyone in mine has been getting extremely lazy as of late. It scares to me be honest, and is one of the driving forces behind me working day and night. :eek7:
 
You should get pride out of what you do, not what your brothers do.
 
ffblueocean, I live in Sonoma County, my is a fire fighter in Bodega Bay but has been running with Cal Fire for the last few months on the wildfires.

He just got back from his 3rd run up to Paradise and was out in Napa last month.

My brother has been up there for over a month straight -- no breaks.

Glad someone is doing it instead of surfing porn!
 
I'm among the ones with a kick ass family. My extended family has dwindled over the years as people age or become ill and die (including both my parents) The remainder of my family, my 5 kids, their partners, and those who "are like family" have supported me through some tough times in the past and currently. My mom passed away 15 years ago and my step-dad (who didn't come into our lives until I was 19) is still a very active and a supportive part of our family. My kids are the best (even through the rough spots). My sister is among the strongest women I know and works taking care of people in a hospital.

It is great to have a son like Bob Schmuck who got me started, patiently taught me, and continues to support me in my ventures on the internet. Family gatherings often include internet entrepreneur talk between us. I always have someone who understands what I'm trying to do! He's the one who told me about WF (thank you again, son!)

Now if only I can find a guy I can match with AND who understands being an internet entrepreneur........now....where did I put those articles about older women dating younger men?????? :) lol
 
I don't have any siblings. I do take pride in the fact that on my mom's side of the family everyone (except my mom) works/worked for themselves. My Grandpa was a lawyer with his own firm. My grandma taught piano. Both Uncles own their own business(es).

I'd like to think that this is where I got my entrepreneurial drive.
 
My family is broken. 2 of my brothers now legally insane from drug abuse. Crack, LSD, Heroine, Shirms ectt... The 3rd brother is starting to get his stuff together, he stopped in time.

Grew up really poor, never had food, had one shirt and a pair of hand me down pants.

My parents are both great, not so poor anymore after me helping them. Helped me mom get into realestate same with my dad, he got to retire early.
 
One of my dad's uncles co-founded the Chicago Bears with Halas.

My great great grandmothers brother was the inventor of barbed wire, although there is some controversy about who actually invented it.

We have Cody's on my grandmothers side and it was rumored that we were related to Buffalo Bill, but I don't know.

My grandfather started an electrical contracting business and had a patent for a newspaper printing press dryer system.

My uncle was a general in the air force.

One cousin started a demolition company and is doing well. His brother started an import speed shop and is doing extremely well.

I have a relative that is the president of USC or one of those colleges in cali.

I have another cousin that blows up buildings.

I'm sure there are more. :)
 
Only child here... but in the essence of family I must thank my parents of course.

Those of you who met me at ASE Miami? Thank them. They paid for it (IN FULL)!

Those of you that are going to meet me in ASE Boston next month - thank them, they're picking up my airline ticket.

I've been so fortunate that they're helping me with "funding" some of my online tests and research, as well as marketing - duh. They want me to be self employed working from home in about 3 years ... hell, I'm not going to lie: my mom wants me to buy her a retirement home on the beach :o.

Typical story though, yadda yadda yadda I grad'd college, almost fell into bad habits (parties 5/7 days a week, no job, started dabbling in drugs etc) then my current GF got me outta that. It's not necessarily where you are, but where you're headin'. :)

Anyway, this hasn't been so WF-like in the post so...
