Anyone familiar with the 1099 part? I am planning on hiring a content writer through W9/1099. So, come next January I'll have to send out a 1099 form to him. How does that work with my side of things? I haven't found instructions on how to submit this properly to the IRS. I ordered a form from the IRS, but it leaves the question open on how to submit it to them.

Any help appreciated.

And no - I do not have an accountant for this. ;)

Thanks.

it's easy you can get the forms from office depot or staples there will be a page you fill out with his info and earnings under non-employee compensation and also a copy for you with the same info to turn in with your taxes showing what you paid him.

Cool, thanks. So, I submit that form with my own tax return for my business then? It's not send separately somewhere to the IRS?
