I feel like these are some very retarded questions to ask but I guess thats why we have a newbie section.

I am planning on getting some autoblogs and database sites going - I understand that its important especially with the autoblogs for them to be on different Class C IP's.

I understand that I can buy them from seohosting for example - am I right in saying that this is effectively shared hosting just with more IP's on different Class C's?

If I was to eventually get a VPS or Dedicated server where do you buy the additional IP's from? And how do you ensure they are on different Class C's?

I see at Softlayer for example with a dedicated server you can get up to 32 IP Addresses - are these all on different Class C's?

God its fun/painful being a retarded again at something.

Hi there,

I use a company called seo-host.com. They offer 10 IP addresses on 10 different class C's. The hosting is shared but you are provided with WHM to manage your different accounts etc.

When you want to setup a new website you can setup a new account within WHM. This will give your site it's own Cpanel etc. You can then allocate one of the 10 ip's to the website. You do this by creating a support ticked with Seo-host.com support. They will then assign the ip to the new website etc.

The other good thing is you also get the choice of 10 different name servers too.

I can't advice on the VPS side of things unfortunately as I don't use one as yet. I hope that's helped a bit...

When you sign up with Softlayer, they give you ips from the same C block. You get different C block ips if you buy additional ips later.
