Vista help needed ...WTF?

So..my new Vista install is getting on my nerves.

Since a few days, it decides I don't REALLY need the internet.
I get timeouts randomly, as the connection refuses to work (that worked a second ago) and nothing is flagged as wrong... good connection (as far as windows knows) but nothing, fucking nothing works.

A few minutes later it will be fine again, only to die a few seconds after.

I had major networking issues when vista was fresh. I searched and found no solutions so I went back to xp. I am now very happy with xp.

Is this happening on wireless, wired, or both? If it's just on one, then a reinstall of the device driver could help. If it happens on wireless and wired, there may be a different issue at hand.

When I first got my vista I had a wireless usb antenna. Everytime vista went into sleep mode i had to unplug the damn thing and plug it in again.

Might be your issue - I eventually just hard wired to the modem to solve the issue.

I'll just go and get a new card today... fucker is probably busted (and ooooold)
