Using proxies when backlinking?

Do you typically use proxies in most aspects of IM? By this I mean for instance, I'm spinning my own unique articles and submitting them to article directories, making web 2.0 properties/blogs linking back to me, etc. but should I be doing this through proxies? I have no idea if doing this all from the same IP would have a negative effect.

On the same note, do you tend to use different email addresses when doing this as well? I've used a few different ones for what I've been doing so far but I want to keep ramping it up and don't know if using the same few addresses is going to be a problem in terms of looking fishy to search engines or if they even take this sort of thing into account at all.

Appreciate any insight into this, did some searching around but I didn't find much information on this. Thanks!
 


People use proxies for blog posts (eg with rapebox) and spun names to decrease the chance of their link being rejected on the blog they're posting to.

Once the link has been posted/approved, Big G doesn't know if you used a proxy to post it or not.

If you're manually submitting it won't matter.
 
The only reason you need to do anything through a proxy, is if the place/thing you're trying to do tells you "FUCK OFF" - then you go grab a proxy and do it again :P

That's proxy necessity in a nutshell for you.
 
I use a VPN service from hidemyass.com for creating and posting to Web 2.0 properties. I also create a new email address which is used to sign up for all of the Web 2.0 properties I'm using to promote a single site. This approach may be overly paranoid, but at least I won't have a lot of work wiped out at once since some sites do track IPs and email addresses.
 
For Blog commenting using scrapebox I use free proxies from elite proxies dot com and proxy hunter. There are blacklists and I dont want my home IP get blacklisted.

I create an email address for each website I launch, this way I can keep all the information and notes about the site in one location. I also use Gmail and the shared documents so I can keep all my other information in one place and be able to access it from any computer.
 
Using proxies for backlink purpose is very much important. Use of proxy will prevent you to get banned from your link source (like web 2.0, profile etc)
 
I am on dynamic IP addresses and doing all nasty SEO things with it. If I get too many errors for blocked IP, forbidden access and so on I just switch the IP and continue my work.

Proxies dramatically decreases the speed, so I am not using them at all
