I had recently considered this myself. Do you have some experience with this? Advice on which country or hosting provider you've tried?

If you Google bullet proof web hosting, most of the results relate to email hosts for spamming. They are located in China and South America.

I too, want to know a good priced Chinese website host. A scalable one would
be nice.

Surely you be far beyond the reach of the FTC etc with this solution?

Any suggestions?

Newspapers dont just use images. They buy rights for everything or get a blanket order from someone like Getty images. Go to CNN.com every image is Getty images.

Ever know anyone that got a letter from Getty? I have. It is not pretty at $1500 a picture.

Getty uses a company called picscout that bots the web, captures images, takes them to their server and compares them to ALL their clients pictures like Getty Corbis etc. Just another reason for anonymous registration and no real contact info on a site.

Not that they have any real leg to stand on but using any image you dont have rights for is risky. I used to think Fair use applied if more than 50% of the content is original. Now I am not so sure.
