US Govt paid $2.7m for a shittier version of xrumer

WOW 2.7mil ?!?! wtf

Is the us gov IT department full idiots that cant program or know it doesnt take 2.7mil to do develop such an app?

and ONLY 10 accounts??!?! I mean holy fucking shit bros. I bet its fucking coded in VB6. Any programmer knows they could program this in a 2-3 weeks or less and they would prob do it for 50k.

epic fail :c

it sounds a bit different from xrumer, but still has some common things so this really is a huge waste of money for .gov

They'll show up here in a few weeks with a "why was my facebook account banned?" thread. Who's gonna step up with a $1.8 million reactivation service?

Just another scam that directly involves the government and the corporations. Its peoples money that is being burnt for buying something 50 times overpriced, illegal to some extent. The person in charge would have assigned the project for around 1 million $ and the rest goes to their pocket. Both parties list the price as 2.7 mil, rest all is profit.

Check who.is to find out the domain was registered few months back, company is brand new and even their website just has their email id displayed.

EDIT:

Just noticed they registered their domain through DomainsByProxy which offers private registration to clients. Something more private than directly buying who.is guard.
Its all a humbug. The government din't got fooled, It fooled everyone else.

Well it doesn't matter how much their website suck(but it really sucks) but the thing that matters is $2.7m in their bank account! :)

Agreed. The owners of this business are laughing all the way to the bank.

Them, and virtually every other contractor that sells "defense" related products.

If you think that's funny, you should read about how the British Government wasted £35m a year to run 1 site... Thirty five fucking million quid every year for a site that has 1m visits a month... (And a site that is absolutely fucking spastic. It's so bad, so unusable and so completely and utterly fucking backwards that last nights Vindaloo could have done a better job.)

Idiot bureaucrats wouldn't have to do much to make me become more prone to murder than I already am.
