Turn WordPress Into a Powerful Review Site Engine

Upgraded again with a new theme and recoded AWH theme (no tables, widget-ready sidebar). Also added two new sidebar widgets to the plugin, recent reviews and top rated posts. Both let you optionally display the average rating with stars, and can be limited to a specific category.

Updated the site with a customer gallery featuring some of the nice looking sites people are making with the package:

Nice recent comment on another forum:
I own a multi-site license of this plugin. It works fine and I make about $1,000 a month between my TV and PC Review sites. Dan is right that review sites can be good earners. If you have time to actually write reviews or can afford to pay a blogger like I do to write them every day and you find a good niche it can be profitable.

I like the WP Review Site plugin and its worth the cost, but I do wish that the theme he offers would show comments when people don't actually decide to rate a product (I get a lot of comments that won't display currently); I haven't had time to fix that issue yet but here are my sites if you want to see the plugin on sites with 1,000s of product reviews each getting over 1,000 daily unique visitors:

TV Reviews

PC & Laptop Reviews

I also recently added the JustRelevant ad network to both of these sites and am seeing nice revenue from this by having my blogger add keywords to custom WP fields so that users can see prices and link directly to sites that sell the products we review. That ad network is absolutely the bomb and pays like $.38 per referral! Forget about CPA when you can get juicy CPC revs.

I honestly don't know Dan and am not writing this to plug his product. I just came across his site one day and decided to buy the plugin; it does work well. I can say this is the only WP plugin I have every actually paid for!

Now, I know a bunch of you fellas will go out and copy these 2 sites tomorrow but that's OK and best of luck to you catching me up; we have thousands of reviews written over the last 2 years so don't think a couple of reviews is gonna work! Product review sites are a great way to earn some good moolah.

Nice Gallery Dan, I have also blogged about your plugin on my blog, Just waiting to make some sales also nice job on putting up the gallery.

Hi Dan, just a quick question, does your plugin have the ability to run more than one "review area" on the same domain? I asked bb_wolfe the same thing about his. Wanted to know if this was possible, and if so, if it was a single license or multi site or developer. As an example, if I was running a travel website and wanted to have a section to review hotels, and a different section to review airlines, on the same domain using the same Wordpress install. Thanks for your time.

You can use WordPress categories to separate your sections. But the dimensions people rate each post/page on will be the same (price, support, value, whatever).

Thanks for the fast reply!

In that case I might consider the multi site license, install more than one Wordpress blog, and setup a couple of subdomains to point to those other "review areas" to keep everything separate yet remain on the same domain and website. I could try to be transparent with the same WP theme. I'm just putting together some ideas and thinking out loud. Thanks for the input.

You only need a single site license if they're all one domain, and don't forget the $20 off coupon from earlier in this thread.

Just Purchased Yesterday. I'll leave a review after install. The niche I'm working is great for the Review Site Idea. Looking Forward to the results!

Purchased

Very smooth transaction. Paid ....instant download. Great Product. I will be upgrading soon. I have more sites this will be perfect on. I wish I could share, but this is a new niche, not yet developed. So I'm keeping it kinda low for now. Everyone on WF has been great to deal with! :music06:

Dan you around to do any tech support?

Tried support forum and e-mailing did not get any response.

Thanks.

If I buy the single-site license and decide later I want the multi-site, will you still refund the difference? I saw you did this for some previous customers, just want to be sure this still applies.
