I started to think about how much money that really is.

and how many jobs it would create etc.

Then I looked up how many people live in USA and its Currently estimated at around 304,095,000.

why dont they give everyone 3 million dollars? instead of just 1% of the population that runs this country.

Unless I'm way off or something what do you think? why hasnt anyone thought of this?

304,095,000x3000000=912285000000000 = nine hundred twelve trillion two hundred eighty-five billion

alot more than 1 tril ya digg?

Your average dumb shit redneck is going to go spend it on ipods and TVs made in Japan and China, it'll be gone in months and the economy will still be shit.

It's better regulated in a few hands rather than everyone getting this 300k. Could you imagine what people would do if they got 300k? They would buy all useless shit.

I bet most people whould buy a house with it or pay off there home.
its the american dream to own a home.

Many of the mom and pop shops would get a boost. I'm sure they wont see a cent of the bailout money

Then house prices would inflate and 300k would buy you nothing. And it wouldn't be called the "dollar menu" any more at Micky Ds. Look what happened to Germany's currency after WWII.

The problem is that if every Joe Six-pack got $300,000 then he would probably clear as much debt as he could. Look at what happened last year when they gave out stimulus checks- most people turned around and gave it back to creditors; the increase in consumer spending they were counting on (the purpose of the stimulus checks in the first place) never occurred, and manufacturing took the hit.

The banks would have a hard time loaning anything out because of the lowered demand for credit (hence, not making any money). It would still cost them to keep everyone's money; most of the banks would not be able to survive the year or 2 it would take for people to need credit again.

For all the trouble the government is going through to keep the banks open, they sure as hell won't do anything that would hurt them. Give the money to the banks and keep people in debt until we can come up with a reason to invade some other country and set up shop there. Maybe then they can put some of the cookies back in the cookie jar before someone realizes it is empty.
