Traveling Europe: Where to go between Amsterdam and Interlaken

Megatabbers mentioned that you could turn it into a partial business expense if you find an event or show while you are there.

Just so happens, ;ots of people in the adult industry have been talking about the indsutry show in Amsterdam next week. Buy a pass, show up for the day, and tie the trip to your business.
 


Hostels in Amsterdam are nasty. It took us a week to find somewhere to stay that didn't look like a rat infested closet before going, and this was with help from someone in the netherlands who frequently stays there for work. Either go for the big chain hotels or rent an apartment. We went for the apartment and it worked out way cheaper and pretty decent. There are a few companies that do it for short trips but I can't recall which one we used. I can find out if necessary.
 
I don't get the hostel thing either. Go to priceline.com and you can get a 4 star hotel in central Amsterdam for less than $200 USD a night. Less stars are even cheaper. There are tons of apartments for rent in Amsterdam too. Green House Seeds has some for example but their link is broken on their site.
 
if you go to Switzerland, enjoy the actual great part, which is called Ticino and is in the south. I don't really get why all Americans go to Interlaken.

Specially Como is beautiful (where some parts of Casino Royale were filmed).

If you wan't to "split" up the trip, go chill in either Stuttgart or Frankfurt. Paris is a great city but full of idiots.

Yes, but you must remember... 4 star hotel in Europe generally = 2-3 star in the US. Maybe 3.
 
Thanks everyone! Looks like we're doing an Amsterdam hotel anyway.

Just because we do well doesn't mean we need to go high class.. but I hear ya.

Been to Berlin. FANTASTIC city. Loved every second of it.

Gotta do something sober... I'm too old to be blackout drunk for 2 weeks straight now :)
